I empower overstimulated families to cultivate regulation, reduce screen time, and build meaningful connections. I love traveling, hiking in nature, going on day dates with my husband, and enjoying simple everyday moments with our family! 

As a wife, a mom of two rainbow babies (and three precious ones in heaven), and a practicing mental health professional, I’ve been where you are—juggling it all while trying to create a peaceful, connected home.

The past six years have taught me a lot about navigating overwhelm. Between grief, career changes, and the joys and challenges of growing our family, I’ve seen how easy it is to fall into cycles of overstimulation and default to screens for relief.

MY STORY

 

I know what it feels like to be stretched thin—torn between work, family, and the ever-present pull of screens. As a mental health professional and a parent, I watched as overstimulation and digital distractions crept into our home, leaving us feeling disconnected, rushed, and constantly on edge.

I didn’t want our days to be filled with half-hearted conversations and missed moments—I wanted presence, peace, and real connection. So, I dug deep. Through research, trial and error, and my own lived experience, I found strategies that truly transformed our family dynamic. Less chaos, more calm. Less disconnection, more meaningful moments.

That’s why I created Unplugged Family Roots—because I know firsthand how hard it is to break free from the overwhelm, and I also know it’s possible. And now, I want to help other families do the same.
